I met my sister Nerina and niece Liona at the original
, the famous media / ad business hangout in its original setting at 915 Third Avenue, Upper East Side. I was introduced to this unique spot by Kim, who were in turn taken there for chicken pot pie by Jay Melville, the former head of international relationships at the American Magazine Association. When in town, I never miss it.
Then it was time for bagels in Central Park the next day. Bought them at Broad Nosh Bagels and walked past Columbus Circle, then sat on the green green grass of not-quite-home, visited the reservoir and dodged all sorts of bicycles back to the city. Oh, also enjoyed some unexpected jazz in Bryant Park too.
